New Leather Tote Love: Quinoa Paris
I have been searching for a tote to use for work. I am trying so hard not to give in to Louis Vuitton's Never Full hoping to find a tote that can hold my things together and complete my professional look. Hence, I've been online window shopping. I try not to go to Purseblog or TheBagHagDiaries when I'm looking to purchase because I can hardly afford what they showcase. But I frequent those two sites for inspiration. So I lurk around Fancy in the hopes of a good find.
Love at first sight only exists in the world of online shopping. Today I am in love with Quinoa. No, not the fiber enriched seeds. Sasha and Stephanie co-founded Quinoa Paris wanting to provide stylish contemporary leather goods to fit one's sophisticated lifestyle. Their designs boast of sleek and minimalist sophistication. To them, luxury is ethics.
I wanted to know more about Quinoa Paris and did a little research (thank you Julia from Quinoa Paris for being very helpful). The brand originated from Quinoa Design and is very new to the market only being launched on December 2013. Distributed in the US through Fancy.com, Quinoa is a very promising lifestyle brand that we all should watch out for. Soon we will be able to spot them in boutiques, homes, and the loving arms of stylish women.
Their first collection: Bouton De Col. Kindly imagine me trying to pronounce that in my best French accent. Bouton De Col is all about the concept of line. It is a collection of "baskets" in different shapes and sizes that come in a flat leather cutout. These cut-outs are self assembly pieces that you fold together and fasten with "collar buttons."
The Bouton De Col is made up of eight pieces. Margot and Victor are baskets that transform into tote bags once fitted with straps. As baskets you may use it as storage and turn them into contemporary design pieces in your living room. Nicolas is a catchall basket for smaller pieces like your pens and keys. Pierre-Elliott is a set of wall hanging baskets on a wooden peg. Arthur and Oscar are oversized baskets for bigger storage like cushions or blankets. Juliette and Antoine are pouchettes or clutch that can be attached to the totes or carried on their own.
Definitely watch out for my review on these so far so good looking leather goods. We will be taking a closer look at the Juliette and the Victor pretty soon. Apart from the vegetal tanned leather that comes from Italy, everything about the Quinoa product is French. The brand advocates a very French confection and I will get to appreciate it up close very soon. In the mean time check out the gallery of photos on how one would fashion a Quinoa piece.
But if you must purchase o cannot wait for my product review then definitely check out how you can BUY & WIN a Quinoa leather piece by clicking here. This special offer runs until April 7, 2014.
