As I go about my morning routine of making breakfast and browsing the internet looking for new things to discover (which is code for online shopping) I came across the FEED Project website looking for a gift for myself or for a friend and at the same time help our brothers and sisters in different parts of the world. I always tell myself that one day I will have a "Project" of my own to help out women and children that have been abused. But for now, I contribute to the FEED Project.
As I browse through their totes and bracelets I could not stop thinking about our brothers and sisters in the Philippines that were hit but typhoon Haiyan. A well established non-profit organization like the FEED Project can really help the children who are most vulnerable when it comes to tragedies like the Haiyan typhoon.
Voila! As I scrolled down FEED Project now included Philippines into their program. I am very pleased with this and instantly ordered shirts to gift to friends and to keep for myself. I do not have enough money to donate directly for Haiyan relief so I feel that this is a good way for me to help out and at the same time provide gifts to my loved ones.
